Terms of service
Last updated 13 October 2026
These are the terms on which you may use Axis. They are written to be read, not to trip you up. By creating an account or using a workspace you agree to them, so please look through them; if something is not clear, ask us through the contact page.
Axis is run by Kerfox Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17429118, with its registered office at 7a Valley Close, Pinner, England, HA5 3UR. "Axis", "we" and "us" mean Kerfox Ltd and the Axis service it runs. "You" means the person or organisation using it. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data and is part of these terms.

The service
Axis is a team workspace: projects, tasks, opportunities, documents, meetings, calendar, chat, an ideas board and an AI assistant, available on the web, as Axis Go for Android and as a desktop app. We keep improving it, which means features change over time. We will not remove something you rely on without telling you first where we reasonably can.
Accounts
- You must be 16 or older to have an account.
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date. Your account is yours alone: do not share your password, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including the actions of people you invite into your workspaces and the guests you share portals with.
- If you create a workspace for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
Acceptable use
Use Axis for its purpose, which is running your own work. Do not:
- Break the law, or help anyone else to, using Axis.
- Upload or send anything you have no right to share, anything that infringes someone's rights, or anything that is abusive, hateful or intended to harm.
- Use the web scraper on sites whose terms forbid it, or in a way that overloads or harms those sites.
- Try to get around the seat limits or feature gates of your plan, share one account between several people, or resell access to Axis.
- Probe, scan or attack the service, interfere with other people's use of it, or send spam through it.
If a workspace is used in one of these ways we may suspend it, and in serious cases close the accounts involved, after telling you where it is reasonable to.
Your content
Everything you put into Axis stays yours. We claim no ownership of your projects, documents, messages or ideas. So that we can run the service, you give us permission to store, back up, transmit and display your content, and to process it with the AI provider your workspace has chosen when you use an AI feature. That permission lasts only as long as needed to provide Axis to you, and ends when the content is deleted.
You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload and share. Content you add to a shared workspace is visible to that workspace's members, and remains with the workspace if you leave it, so that your teammates' work is not broken.
The AI features produce drafts, summaries and suggestions. They can be wrong. Check them before you act on them; you decide what to do with them.
Plans and billing
- The Free plan is free for as long as you like. Paid plans are priced per member per month, in the currency shown for your region on the pricing page, and can be billed monthly or once a year.
- Kerfox Ltd is the seller of paid plans. Payments are processed by Stripe, which holds your card details. Axis never sees your card number. Any tax due is shown at checkout before you pay.
- A paid plan is charged for each member of the workspace; the Axis assistant is never counted as one. When someone joins or leaves, the charge changes with them from that day, and the difference is added to or taken off your next invoice.
- You can cancel at any time from workspace settings. The workspace keeps its paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, then moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted when a plan ends.
- If you change your mind within 14 days of a payment, contact us and we will refund it in full. After that, payments for a period already started are not refunded, except where the law says otherwise.
- If we change a price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you. Your current period is never affected.
Availability
We work to keep Axis available around the clock, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Maintenance, faults at our hosting providers and events outside our control can all cause downtime. Where we can plan maintenance, we will do it at quiet times and tell you in advance. Axis Go keeps working offline and syncs when the connection returns, but you should keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Our responsibility to you, in plain words
Axis is provided as it is. We do our best to make it reliable and correct, but we do not guarantee it will be error-free or suit every purpose. We are not responsible for losses that come from how you use it: a missed deadline, a decision made on an AI summary, or content a teammate deleted.
If we are found responsible for a loss, the most we will pay is the amount you paid us for Axis in the twelve months before the problem, or, if you are on the Free plan, nothing. Nothing in these terms removes rights the law gives you that cannot be excluded, including for death, personal injury or fraud caused by us.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Axis at any time and ask us to delete your account through the contact page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that has not been used for a long time on the Free plan, or if we have to stop offering the service, in which case we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data. The sections on your content, liability and governing law continue to apply after the agreement ends.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms as Axis changes. We will update the date at the top and, for changes that matter to you, tell you inside Axis or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Axis after that date means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be heard by the courts of England and Wales, unless the law where you live gives you the right to something different.

For anything about these terms, use the contact page. The email address for the team is shown there. You can also write to Kerfox Ltd at the registered office address above.
